Welcome to the virtual home of Reward Entertainment. My name is Brad Ward. I was raised in an auction family, working my first sale at age 13, and I have been the proprietor of Wards Antiques & Auctions for the past 13 years. Add to this, that it has been almost two decades since I DJ'd my first function and you get an idea of what I love to do. When I was four years old my parents wondered if I would ever talk, once I started they just wished I would stop. Fundraising auctions and entertaining wedding guests or party goers is, for the most part, an evening affair. During the day I own and operate ShadowBoxer Creative Custom Framing. At first glance this may seem like completely unrelated information, however this glorified hobby of mine has proved itself very useful in helping the success of fundraising auctions. |

Excessive Bike Build Celebrity
bike builder Russell Mitchell of Exile Cycles in California, legendary
engine designer and builder Gerry Merchant of Merch Motors in Colorado and
local builder Raoul Matagora of 5150 Bike Werks in Rocky Mountain House,
teamed together to build the Part of the Rocky Mountain House Chamber of Commerce Annual Trade Fair, this hand built chopper was auctioned off, along with other desirable items, to raise funds for local charities. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rocky
Mountain House Auction is "As the time came near to auction off the chopper, you could hear the excitement build in the gallery. Who would own it? How much will it bring? Then it happened, I was standing by Russell as the bidding opened and you could see the anticipation etched into the features of his California sun drenched features. He left the director’s chair he had been perched on and eased in, to catch a glimpse of the gallery. The bidding became intense between two gladiators who battled each other, not with weapons but with wallets. As the asking price rose from 30 thousand to 35 the crowd got louder. One man would leave the arena a victor with a closing bid of $41,000. Local Rocky Mountain House businessman Barry Jasman, had stayed the course and had not relented, coming away with a piece of history. " Excerpt

Bachelor Auction A fund raising auction on the local military base had me auctioning off assorted bachelors from our Canadian Forces. It was one of the most entertaining auctions I've had the privilege of calling. An eye opening experience on the competitive nature of women. Click on the images to enlarge |

Metso
Minerals This was not a fundraiser. This was a corporate party for Metso Minerals Edmonton division. The evening was a 50's themed party held in the hangar at Fort Edmonton that included good food, good drink and good people.
They had a full carnival set up inside the hangar and guests were able to win funny money playing games. This fun money was later used to bid on auction items that had been provided by Metso Minerals.
This was not the first party that I have done for Metso Minerals. One year they had a fun money casino where guests earned money at the tables to bid on auction items. Auctions take a different turn when bidders are bidding with funny money, especially when that money drops to zero value after the last item is sold. That year I sold a $100.00 bottle of wine for $160,000.00. It was the last item up for bid and it soon became a war of who could solicit the most allies in the room to hand over there unused gambling profits.
